Do my SMS leave the phone?
No. The app has no internet permission at all, so it cannot send anything anywhere. All reading and maths happen on the phone.
Which SMS does it keep?
Only the money SMS that became a transaction, a due or a balance. Personal messages, OTPs and promotions are skipped and never stored. What is kept is encrypted on the phone.
Is it free?
Yes, everything is free while we build. Later, Pro becomes one payment through Google Play, yours for good and restorable on a new phone. Not a subscription.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. iOS does not let any app read the SMS inbox.
My bank is not listed.
Its SMS may still be picked up by the general rules and marked “auto-detected · check”. Tap More → My bank is missing. It saves a file on your phone listing the bank senders the app could not read (counts only, never SMS text). The app cannot send it, as it has no internet; if you like, email the file to hello@easelynow.com yourself and we will add your bank in an update.
How do I move to a new phone?
More → Back up to a file, choose a passphrase, and save the file where you like. On the new phone, More → Restore from a file. You can also simply scan the SMS again.
Will it work with the app closed?
Yes. New SMS are picked up in the background, and bill reminders arrive 3 days and 1 day before, on the due day, and a day late if it is still open.
